Fear

fear comes to me
like a thief in the night
unexpected
uncalled for
it is based always
on the false premises
that my body
can represent my essence
that my body is vulnerable
to attack and lose
of what it possesses...

such chaotic premises
leading to hiding
leading to defense
leading to protectiveness
evoking fear...

the remedy is seeing clearly
that nothing can threaten
what is eternal
and essential to all...
that clear seeing
is only offered thru
the eyes of Love...

so today
in silent meditation
i breathe in
only Love and breathe out
only what is real
releasing my fear
thru the clarity
Love brings
