The Mark of the Self

Steady as the ocean's depths,
peaceful, serene;
Among all seeming changes,
swayed not at all.
This is the mark
of the Self.

Focus yourself on depth.
It is unchanging, even now.
Don't try to make it
at the level of surface
where changes can be swift and dramatic.

Dive to find it.
Sink.
Settle into it.
It is already and always there.
