A Longing Realized
i feel a sadness
as i look upon my world
and see the loneliness
i have made...
my interactions with others
in the world seem so empty
as i notice my personal
wanting for myself in relationship. ..
i seem to have made the other
just to serve my personal wants
just to give me what i desire
in a separate place
with separate thought...
now i willingly surrender
this falseness for the real world
where there is no other
there is no me
but only the thoughts
of multiplicity i made
to reflect this insane desire...
i long so for a return
to the fullness of Self
where peace and joy
are constant
and personal wants dissolve
into the nothingness
from which they came...

"The world as you perceive it cannot have been created by the Father, for
the world is not as you see it. God created only the eternal, and everything
you see is perishable. Therefore, there must be another world that you do
not see. The Bible speaks of a new Heaven and a new earth, yet this cannot
be literally true, for the eternal are not re-created. To perceive anew is
merely to perceive again, implying that before, or in the interval between,
you were not perceiving at all. What, then, is the world that awaits your
perception when you see it?" (T-11.VII.1)
